It was a busy Labor Day weekend. I spent Saturday Wild Ricing with a friend, Sunday I framed quite a few painting and gave a coat of varnish to the dry ones. Monday I wanted to paint! Because this weekend was crazy with tourists and heavy traffic, I didn’t want to drive anywhere. Instead I dug through two years of photos from my adventures up in Cook County Minnesota. They were from the Grand Marais, Hovland, and Grand Portage areas.
Deciding on a lush, dark, river photo, I did some thumb nails and then dove right in. So, this is either the Flute Reed, The Devils Track or unknown River.

I does remind me of time spent up there. I am happy with it.
Loving the cooler temperatures this time of year and hope to get out painting more to capture the Autumn colors!
Remain well my friends,
Lynn
