2023 Year in Review

While my goals remained similar to 2022, I feel I succeeded in painting larger, even when Plein Air painting. Still working towards painting faster and looser. It’s a lifelong journey,.

My daughter and I brought out paints to the Grand Portage Rendezvous in Minnesota this year. It was fun and productive,. I am sure we will do the same in 2024.

We participated in the Port Wing Plein Air fest for the 3rd year. I always meet the best people there and amazing artists.

This was also the 3rd year I participated in the 20/20 Art Tour in Two Harbors, MN. This 3 day event is always a wonderful time, I encourage everyone to check it out!

One of my goals for the New year is to use boughten and foraged pigments to mull some of my own paint. It’s just another way to keep moving towards the most environmentally safe, non-toxic, non-plastic art material’s. I am also fascinated by the historical materials used by the old masters. Endless things to learn and experiment with!

Wishing everyone an adventurous New Year!

Remain well,

Lynn
