My focus for 2021 was to gain more confidence painting in public and become a better Plein Air painter. Together with my daughter, we lugged our designated backpacks loaded with our pochade boxes down some our our favorite trails.
Lydia is an amazing Artist. She is so inspiring and always helpful with a quick critique or valid suggestion. Though somewhat shy, she is always eager to set up and paint, on main street or beneath a waterfall.
Every en Plein Air session was a small adventure. We would bring coffee and chocolate and take breaks to look at each others progress. We would explore the woods and bring home mushrooms for dinner. Painting in winter was new for us and proved a challenge to keep our hands warm.
Last year I also challenged myself to enter a show, paint in a plein air festival, and get into a gallery on the South Shore. Little by little I am getting myself back into the “art” world after putting things on hold for many, many years. This area I now call home has been very welcoming and there is endless places to inspire, and paint. I look forward to the year ahead.

Best wishes everyone and remain well,
Lynn
