Painting the Northshore

One of the best things about living where I do is that there is never a lack of inspiration. Being very much an “outdoors” person it seems a natural step to paint en plein air. It was my goal for the summer and autumn. I ended up doing both studio work and plein air. Now to just push myself to get out and paint in winter. We will see.

Most of these are smaller studies, 5 x 7 in. oil on linen or canvas panels. It is fun to pull all the painting together for these blogs to see how they look and remind me of all the hikes and two backpacking trips this year.
